Our presentation focuses on one of two aspects:
- We use the spectrum of homelessness to show how first-time homelessness can lead to chronic homelessness if there is no intervention; and, how these individuals are often typical tax-paying citizens in our community.
- Personal and professional experiences have proven that hosting makes a tremendous difference in the lives of those Safe Haven Perth serve. This understanding helps to reduce fears of hosting someone in one’s home for a period of one to six months.
